Aluminium Clad Bifold Doors

Alu-Clad Bifold Doors comprise of an aluminium bifold which is "clad" with a hardwood finish on the internal facing side. This finish provides the best of two worlds; the tough and dependable aluminium providing protection against the weather, whilst the warm and pleasing look of timber on the internal side adds to the character and style of your home.

The wooden cladding on our aluminium clad bifolds can be removed should you wish to paint, varnish, stain or even change the wood species altogether. The aluminium face is very low maintenance as well as being hardy and weather proof. Aluminium works especially well in areas of strong sunlight and resists fading through out the year whilst ensuring that heat is retained within the room during the cooler months.

The center pane U rating of the bifold provides a reference value for the thermal efficiency of our alu-clad bi-folds and we have a range of options from thermally efficient double glazed units through to triple glazed bi-folds which meet passive haus / passive house requirements.

Our aluminium clad bi-folds can be installed to open either inwards or outwards depending on your requirements or room layout. Inwards opening bi-folds provide a greater level of air tightness and can offer a very low centre pane U rating. Outwards opening bi-folds maximise usage of the space within the room whilst allowing some of the slimmest sight lines available.
